This is the spot for entries I didn't want cluttering up the main page. Note that some of them are very old and, well, irrelevant at this point...

updating...

19 July 2008

Oops, I did it again. Hey, one year of grad school is down now! And I'm married, hehe. Classes start up again in a little over a month, though - oh, boy. Anyway, I'm trying to get a few things updated around here, so hopefully that'll all turn out! Yeah, have a short post, since I don't have much to say, eh heh. Oh, I did add some things (read: posts) to the r-blue links in the navigation bar, plus a new and oh so sparkly "tropical" section, a group of sites I've been visiting regularly since the beginning of the hurricane season.

waking up from a deep slumber

24 October 2007

I really haven't forgotten about this site! It's just that I've been busy with various things, like being engaged, finishing my undergraduate course work, completing my thesis, applying for and getting into graduate school, moving from one state to another to begin said grad school, and, of course, all the work that brings with it. Also, I'm planning a wedding. Whew!

Now, since it has been so long, I'm tweaking r-blue's design and content. I'm going to try an experimental blog-like series of entries under thoughts, which I will attempt to keep well-written and cohesive. Since I'm a bit of a random person and will thus need some sort of outlet for the extras, I'm also going to have a rambles section for the, well, less coherent bits of writing. We'll see how it goes!

it validates!

26 July 2006

So, of all the places where I could finally figure out why the heck my site wouldn't pass the W3C Validator, I discovered the ONE error while at work for my internship. (I didn't have anything to do so I was working on learning more about XHTML.) Thus, r-blue.com (at least the index page...) now validates for XHTML 1.0 Transitional! This might seem like a really small thing to you, but to me, it's very very encouraging. Whee! I'm happy.

increased css resources

12 July 2006

I got my copy of The Zen of CSS Design in the mail today. Yay! It's a book based on the work done at the CSS Zen Garden, which is full of breathtaking designs made with CSS. Check it out for yourself! In the meantime I'll be intermittently reading said book, hopefully using tips in it to make this site look even better. I'll even sharpen my at-the-moment limited CSS skills. (Yes, I am quite excited about this. Hehe.)

6.30.06 : filling the space

30 June 2006

So, I promise I'll try to work on this more, especially since it's all pretty now and I have so much time to spare. I'm also working on BTM again, a fact that has made me rather happy. Whee~

yet another new layout

29 June 2006

I found a layout I liked! I happened upon it completely by accident, to be perfectly honest with you. A little CSS tweaking and some playing with effects in Photoshop produced what you see here. Isn't it spiffy?
